Stefan Suter’s private life is sporty; the passionate motorcyclist (his favourite route leads from Pollença to Deià) loves the variety of leisure activities Mallorca has to offer. In return, he accepts that he can only indulge in his passion for skiing and snowboarding during the holidays. Stefan Suter lives with his wife, Brigitte, in his finca between Sant Llorenc and Artà and likes to enjoy a glass of Majorcan red wine on his patio in the evening.

Mr Suter, what is so special about Mallorca?

The diversity, the climate and the magnificent landscapes in the north east of the island.

If Mallorca were a piece of music it would be…

something by AC/DC – rock, full of fun and genuine.

Which place do you show visitors to Mallorca first of all?

There are probably no places that haven’t already been discovered – I like to enjoy the very unusual and special places for myself. The bays and beaches in the north east are the island’s most beautiful, but are, of course, not free of tourism. The towns of Artá, Sant Llorenc, Colònia de Sant Pere and Cala Ratjada are always very impressive.

What´s your favourite restaurant in Mallorca?

All restaurants that offer good quality and authentic surroundings.

Being Swiss, living in Mallorca is…

… an absolute privilege and something I’m prepared to accept the drawbacks of paradise for – such as Spanish bureaucracy for example.
