Nit de l’Art Palma

Nit de l’Art

On Saturday, 20 September 2025, one of Mallorca’s most culturally significant events returns: the 29th edition of Nit de l’Art. Between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m., Palma’s historic old town will be transformed into a huge open-air gallery area – and best of all, admission is free for all visitors.

What can you expect at Nit de l’Art?

14 leading contemporary galleries will open their doors until late into the night. Visitors can look forward to a varied programme: solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, performances, talks and site-specific art projects invite you to explore.

Cultural institutions such as Es Baluard, Casal Solleric, Fundació Miró Mallorca, La Misericòrdia and the Fundación Juan March are also represented with their own programmes. Particular mention was made of an exhibition at the Colegio de Arquitectos, inspired by the work of writer Carme Riera and realised by Pep Llambies.

Urban art spectacle: the whole city becomes a stage. Cafés, balconies, rooftops, historic façades and passageways are creatively transformed, complemented by live music, street art and pop-up performances – all united in a lively festival atmosphere.

Why Nit de l’Art is a must

Nit de l’Art opens the doors to art – barrier-free, free of charge and right in the city centre. Visitors experience the whole spectrum: from renowned artists to up-and-coming talents, from international galleries to local projects. The event appeals to all the senses: art in public spaces, a live atmosphere, personal conversations and culinary accompaniment create a unique experience.

Nit de l’Art connects institutions, galleries, hotels, city traditions and artists – transforming the city into an open, lively cultural festival for one night. Far removed from rigid exhibition concepts, it is a celebration for everyone who wants to discover art in all its diversity.
