Andratx is located on the western edge of Mallorca, at the foothills of the Sierra de Tramuntana, about 25 km from the capital. The oldest part of the village called El Pantaleu.

A picturesque village with a market square and narrow streets that were once inhabited by fishermen. Andratx is dominated by the church Santa Maria of the 13th Century and the Palace Son Mas, where the city administration is housed. In 2001, a Danish couple opended the museum Centro Cultural de Andratx, situated in the district of Sa Coma, for art exhibitions of international artists.
