This Mallorcan country house was built in the year 2010 and was converted with a lot of passion by the current German owners into a cultivated villa with a rustic ambience.
On the ground floor of the 2-storey main house is a large entrance area, a spacious living room with fireplace, an open kitchen adjoining the dining area and a glazed terrace which leads to one of a total of 5 outside terraces. The same level houses a bathroom, and a single bedroom which is currently used as a study. On the upper floor are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms 3 of which are en suite. Balconies on the upper floor were dispensed with but 3 of the bedrooms have French balconies with wonderful views of the idyllic cfountryside of Muro overlooking the Victoria Peninsula.
The house is equipped with double glazed windows and doors, a complete fitted kitchen, universal tile flooring throughout, an osmosis water filtering system producing best-quality drinking water through a decalcification system, hot/cold air conditioning and pre-installation for heating in all rooms.
The energy supply is provided by mains electricity although the electricity requirement is ensured to almost 100% by a Viessman solar power system, and the property has its own water source from a deep well.
The outdoor facilities include a 10 x 5 metre pool with pool house, an automatic irrigation system, complete video surveillance of the house, a 72 sqm area specially built to burn garden waste, a carport for 2 cars, (on the roof of which the solar modules are located), 2 small maintenance buildings, a 9 sqm porch at the entrance gate as well as the aforementioned 5 terraces.
The rectangular plot is completely fenced and accessible via a remote-controlled gate. Originally dominated by agriculture and containing several hundred orange trees, the estate garden was redesigned and can now be easily managed by a single gardener. The plot area of 15,300 sqm was divided into 2 parts - an 8,000 sqm kitchen garden and a 7,300 sqm landscaped garden with extensive fully automated watered lawns. The abundance of agricultural plants and trees on the property makes the purchase of fruit almost unnecessary with ample orange, lemon, fig and almond trees. The Mediterranean style of this property is particularly evident in the cypresses, cacti, pines and particularly the palm trees.
About 50 metres from the main house is an old equipment staorage building with adjacent water cistern which could be converted into a guest house with pool. This also has its own driveway so that the privacy of the main house would not be compromised.
The town of Muro and the nearest beach Playa de Muro can be reached within 7 minutes drive.
In terms of property type, this property is suitable for holiday letting.

The North of Mallorca also offers a wide selection of charming areas, particularly inland. It has many pretty, yet typical small Mallorcan villages such as Campanet, Buger, Muro or Santa Margarita, which each offer a first hand experience of authentic island life and a taste of the original culture of this enchanting Mediterranean island as well as boasting their own unique characters. There are several alternatives to Pollensa or Alcudia if you want to look for a romantic town house or a secluded country house that's close to the beach. Especially Campanet and Buger each with immediate access to the 2006 created motorway between Palma-Alcudia, provide a further advantage in that it only takes 25 minutes to reach Palma by car.
