Porto Colom still remains a small traditional fishing village, actually it is one of the most charming villages on the southeast coast because it has been excluded from the mass tourism that has over run Majorca during the last few years. The main impressive feature is the large natural harbour which offers shelter from wind and weather. The village has a good infrastructure, about 3.000 inhabitants live in Porto Colom.
