Can Picafort is situated on half way between Artà and Alcúdia and was originally a place for summer visitors. The old part of Can Picafort consists of flat and white painted summer houses that are typical for Majorca. Today Can Picafort has changed to a big village with more of 7000 habitants. It possess a first class infrastructure for residents. The highlights are the marina, the traffic-free zone in the first line with its restaurants and shops, a perfect completed cycle track and the longest sand beach in the north with an extension about 15 km till to Alcúdia.
